I am now also an honorary Support Crew Member of Bikers For Christ and shall wear my patches and tees as often as I can in support this great International Ministry based in The US.

Some have been asking me what has happened with Mick Jelinic relating to the new Mortification Album "Scribe Of The Pentateuch". The last time Mortification played Live was in October 2008. In 2009 Mick and I recorded "The Evil Addiction Destroying Machine" with Adam Zaffarese as a Session Drummer. Following that Recording we could not play Live because we did not have a Drummer who was a Band member. This was frustrating for both Mick and myself. I suggested that it would be a good time to pursue our side-projects, Mick's being Terraphobia and mine being Wonrowe Vision. 

Wonrowe Vision soon became a Band and still is. Lincoln Bowen, Andrew Esnouf and myself Recorded Mission Invincible in late 2009 and into early 2010, followed by a year of playing local shows last year and into early this year. The Official Wonrowe Vision Album Launch was December 4th last year - that is the show that has songs featured  on my YouTube site. Andrew Esnouf had expressed interest in trying out for Mort as he developed a keen interest in the thriving new young Melbourne Death Metal Scene.

In mid December last year Andrew and I started jamming on some older Mortification tunes and I knew that, being a Born Again Christian, Andrew was the right person for the job as Mortification drummer. I talked with Mick over the phone about this and asked him if we could jam on some new Mort tunes when we were on our Annual visit to Mick and family's country property to see in the New Year. Our families have grown close in friendship and fellowship over the past 9 years. Mick wished to just relax over the New Year because he was still finishing up his new Terraphobia Album. I understood that this Album had been a big undertaking for Mick as the results are world class!

In mid January this year I received a call from Troy Dixon who was wondering if I knew of any Melbourne Christian Metal Bands looking for a Guitarist. I told Troy that he could try out for Mortification as a Second Guitarist if he wished, with the imminent return of Mick as Lead Guitarist. I talked with Mick about this prospect and he was happy for me to develop the new Mort songs with Troy and Andrew. This process of development has been a real back to basics, in the trenches, rebuilding process of Old School Mortification styles with a new flare and flavour here and there.

Mick was not sure when he would be back due to his efforts with Terraphobia and unforeseen personal circumstances. When I heard "Evilution" (The New Christian Terraphobia Album) I knew that this was an Important release for The Christian Extreme Metal Scene!! I sent a letter of recommendation to Nuclear Blast Records to seriously consider working with Mick's Band. In the end Mick decided to sign "Evilution" to Soundmass. I actually offered Mick A Record Deal to sign under Rowe Productions, but I think in Soundmass Mick has found the perfect home for Terraphobia!  Check out the "Evilution" release, available through Soundmass.com now! IT IS A RIPPER OF AN ALBUM!! Up there with the best in world-class Extreme Metal Albums for sure!!

I talked often with Mick about my plans to Record the 15th Mortification Album. The first 6 songs are now finished in Production and we are simply waiting, praying about and deciding what the next Best Step is in God's Plan for Mort. Troy is also a strong Born Again Christian and we are really wanting God's guidance as to "What next?" For those who pray, please pray with us for God's guidance here. My physical and financial resources are Extremely limited, so we just need to know in the next weeks where to next with The Mortification Mission?!! To be really upfront with all our supporters out there, I am really not very well, thus my need to make hot roads back into rebuilding Mort whilst I still have just enough physical resources to do so. It is what you might call a Godly Urgency to push forward in His calling in my life. What the future holds for both myself and Mort is All In God's Hands. It is not my fault that my body is so damaged but, amazingly, I am now the second longest surviving Bone Marrow Transplant recipient of my doctor at 14.5 years out of the Transplant. My initial goal is 52 years of age. That will be an Australian Record at 20 years out of Transplant in 5.5 years time. Currently I am 46.

Mick had not returned by the time the Recording was upon us and so, by his absence, Mick was not named in the line-up on our new ReverbNation Page and is very obviously missing from the new photos for Pre-Promotion of the pending new Album. "Scribe Of The Pentateuch" will be out by early next year. I wish to personally Thank Mick for the 9 years of solid input and support he has put into Mortification. But due to the development and Recording of the new Album during his absence Mick, by his own choice not to reform and Record with me, is no longer working in Mortification. I am praying that our friendship can stay intact. Mick and I have shared some exciting but also difficult times these last 9 years, with Mort being in an unsigned period of time. It just happened that through a set of unexpected circumstances Mick is no longer a part of the Mortification Mission. I wish all The Blessings In The World for the new Terraphobia Album and for Mick and his family. "Evilution" is an Album truly not to be missed by Christian Extreme Metal fans world wide!

Andrew, Troy and I will be forming a Classic Live Set of Mortification songs to be joined with some of the songs from "Scribe Of The Pentateuch" and will begin our Live Onslaught of Brutal Jesus Metal in early 2012. We are not sure where these Live shows will lead us. At this stage we will simply begin performing again in the local scene and see where God leads us from there!
